PARTIES

1.1. This Privacy Policy explains how TulipBot ("TulipBot", "we", or "us") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information when you use our services. These services include those offered on the domain www.tulipbot.com (the "Site"), tools and applications (the "Applications"), and any related content (the "Content") (collectively, the "Service").

1.2. This policy applies to anyone ("you", "User", or "Respondent") accessing, visiting, or using any part of the Service. A “User” is a person who creates chatbots, and a “Respondent” is a person who interacts with those chatbots.

1.3. This Privacy Policy is part of the TulipBot Terms of Use.

AGREEMENT TO TERMS OF PRIVACY POLICY

2.1. Using TulipBot’s Service is voluntary. You do not have to provide personal information unless you wish to access certain features of the Service. If you disagree with our policies or Terms of Use, please do not provide personal information, exit the Applications, and stop using the Service.

2.2. By creating an account with TulipBot or otherwise using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your information as described in this Privacy Policy and the TulipBot Terms of Use.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

3.1. We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. You might be required to accept the updated policy upon logging into your TulipBot account to continue using the Service. Alternatively, we might post material changes on the Site with a notice in advance of the changes taking effect. We might also notify you via email or another prominent method. If you do not agree to the new policy, you may stop using the Service within the thirty (30) day notice period. Otherwise, the new terms will take effect after thirty (30) days.

PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT USERS AND RESPONDENTS

TulipBot interacts with "Users" (you) and "Respondents" (your users). The information we collect from Users and Respondents and how we handle it differs as described below.

5.1. TulipBot Users

As a User, we collect information related to your use of our Services from various sources:

  • Registration information: Data you provide when registering for an account.
  • Chatbot data: We store your chatbot data (questions and responses).
  • Billing info: Information related to your billing plan. If you've provided billing details, we store this information as well.
  • Other data you share: Personal information you may provide in other contexts, such as testimonials or campaign data.
• (ii) Information we collect indirectly or passively:
  • Usage data: Data on how you interact with our services.
  • Device and application data: Information from the device and application used to access our services, such as IP address and browser type. We may infer geographic location from your IP address.

As a Respondent, when you respond to chatbots hosted by TulipBot, we collect information relating to you and your use of our services on behalf of and upon instructions from Users:

• (i) Information we collect directly from the Respondent:
  • Chatbot responses: We collect and store responses you provide to chatbots. The User who created the chatbot manages this data. If you have questions about a chatbot, contact the User directly.
• (ii) Information we collect indirectly or passively:
  • Usage data: Data on how you interact with our services.
  • Device and application data: Information from the device and application used to access our services, such as IP address, browser type, and operating system. We may infer geographic location from your IP address.
  • Referral data: Information on how you were referred to the chatbot (e.g., from a link on another website or an email).
  • Cookies: Data from cookies through third-party tracking services that collect aggregated, anonymized data about site visitors.
  • Email address: If the User adds an email question to their chatbots, we record the email address provided by Respondents. Providing an email address is optional.

PURPOSES OF USING AND SHARING INFORMATION

6.1. We use the information collected to provide the services requested in connection with your TulipBot account as described in the Terms of Use.

6.2. We also use your information to review, investigate, and analyze how to improve our services. This includes analyzing data to monitor and improve our services, develop new features, and ensure our services' security and operational efficiency.

6.3. We conduct internal statistical and other analyses on the information collected (including usage data, device data, referral data, and chatbot data) to understand user behavior and trends, troubleshoot issues, and enhance our services.

6.4. We may use your information for internal purposes designed to keep our services secure and operational, such as testing, troubleshooting, preventing abuse (e.g., fraud, spam), and for research and development purposes.

6.5. We may collect your personal data to respond to your inquiries and provide you with TulipBot tips and news about chatbots via email or other electronic means. To customize these communications, we may use statistical techniques to create user profiles and segment data. You can opt-out of such communications at any time by contacting us. Opting out will not affect previous communications.

6.6. We do not sell your chatbot data to third parties without your permission. We may share your information with service providers who assist us in providing our services to you. These third parties must comply with our privacy policy and relevant privacy legislation. They are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purposes of providing their services.

6.7. Your data is not disclosed to third parties except:

• For providing the services you requested,
• When we have your permission,
• When required by a competent authority in the exercise of its duties (e.g., to investigate or prevent illegal activities).
